Publications
As a Kanaka Hawaiʻi (Native Hawaiian) scholar, my publications reflect and demonstrate sustained scholarship that emphasizes 1) Hawaiian language and Indigenous languages at the intersection of education, revitalization, digital technology, well-being, traditional and cultural practices, and/or policy and planning, and 2) decolonizing and Indigenizing the academy to create pathways for Indigenous thinkers and scholars, and scholarship. In addition to single-authored publications, I have collaborated on manuscripts with Indigenous colleagues and allies who are committed to Indigenous engagement, research, teaching, and learning. I publish primarily in refereed publications, and write and perform to a diverse audience that includes academics, Indigenous scholars, language educators, technology users, cultural practitioners, and community activists.
